Yes, it’s a really high quality piece of kit at a reasonable price for the bundle!

How do you record with it? Like what’s the point of knowing how good it is when I can’t even figure out it how to use it… I got a Leica sl2-s.. how do I record?

Does the Leica have an HDMI out? If it does. You just need to press the record button on the ninja V+. But that will only work if 1. Your camera supports external RAW OR 2. You are using another codec like H.265. Unfortunately I’m really not familiar with Leica’s UI. But if it’s got similar settings to Sony for HDMI, you can set it up like I show where recording on camera triggers recording on the ninja.

@@jackofmanytrades oh wow.. I did not understand a word. I mean, like, I have no idea what I am doing. I just know I want to learn how to do cinematography and I want to do it right. So, I was exploring the cine mode of my cam and saw RAW 12bit but needs HDMI so, after trying to understand it I figured that it need an external recorder/monitor. Then I purchased the atomos ninja v+. I had it last week but didn’t know it still needs a cable even if you get the accessory kit and you still need to buy Tilta to attached the atomos on kondor blue. Now that I got everything, I can’t even record.

@iKIMshuffle so unfortunately, you are wasting money on things you don’t need it seems. If you don’t know why you need RAW then you probably aren’t ready to shoot in RAW. Honestly, there are very few benefits for most people to shooting in RAW for the extremely large file sizes.
To your point about not being able to record. Since you didn’t mention even having a SATA SSD, I’m going to guess that you didn’t buy one and thus will not be able to record because the ninja v+ is a recorder and has no internal memory.

@@jackofmanytrades I have a Samsung 870 1TB ssd that I took apart and used anydicne to fit it. Why shouldn’t I start there when that’s what I do with my photos? My only issues is operating the device. And what compels you to tell me that I shouldn’t learn?
I just happened to want to learn how to use my rig.. just so happens i chose what I chose..

@@jackofmanytrades can’t a beginner benefit from it? My device can handle it. I’ve yet to have issues with my M3 pro.. although I wish I kept the M2 pro instead but oh well. It’s just a few seconds off anyway when I render photos using CaptureOne
